Hey Y'all,
Transfers somehow happened again and I didn't manage to slip through the cracks with this one....oh well, I guess the Lord has other plans for me!
I'm now back in the Hunstville Zone serving in the Byrd Springs ward. It borders my previous area of Monte Sano so it is great to catch up with members of that ward and be serving again in a place that I've come to love almost as much as home!
My new companion is Elder Collings and basically he's a goober; the only person that can supply as much weirdness in a companionship as I can, lol! I love it though! He is a valiant and hard working missionary whom I'm so grateful to learn from and serve with. We've already been hitting the pavement hard and doing all that we can do bring Souls unto Christ. I can't wait to continue to see miracles and be apart of many great things that I know are for sure to come!
So this past week was quite long and exhausting the more I think about it. At the same time, I couldn't have imagined it going any better than it did. Our mission had the opportunity to attend the temple again which is always a spiritually uplifting highlight to any missionary participating. Following our temple session, we exchanged with the Assistants to the Mission President, returned home the following day, then loaded up in the car again to return to the temple! There was a sister that was baptized only a few days before I arrived here; her and her husband invited us to go and participate in Baptisms for the Dead at the temple with them. It was so joyful to see how the Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought this couple even closer together. I feel that the greatest blessing of full-time missionary service is being able to see people change their lives and be filled with a greater capacity for joy and eternal happiness. Although many people may never see the change within themselves, we get the privilege to help them acknowledge the blessings that the influence of the Gospel has brought into their lives.
I love the Lord! I love this work! The Savior lives and this is His church restored upon the Earth!
