Kicking in 2018 with a Bang!

Hey Y'all

This has been one of the most interesting weeks in my mission for sure.

Well to start this week, my companion and I were just about arrested.  On Tuesday, we were tracting and apparently we upset some neighbors so they decided to call the cops on us and tell them that two men dressed up in all black were knocking on doors and blocking the peep-holes so they couldn't see us.  Also while we were tracting that same evening, we knocked on a door and then someone screamed at the top of their lungs and it definitely startled us.  That was right when the cops showed up and stopped us in the middle of the road to ID us.  Nothing happened, the cops seemed pretty upset that they had to respond "mormons again" and just talked to us to waste time so that the neighbors would think that they were interrogating us.  It was a quite an eventful evening, especially since three cops, all from different departments, showed up to investigate the situation.  It was crazy!

Also this week, we were given a new mile limit for the month that is stressing us out, I bathed nine dogs and cleaned their kennels for a less-active, and a member of the Quorum of the Twelve will be here Sunday for a regional conference, and we still don't know who it will be.  So there is a lot of exciting things happening here in Alabama.

If you have anytime this evening, be sure to tune in to the NCAA National Football Championship and root for Alabama for all of us here in the ABM since we don't get to watch it.  It will be an awesome game!

I hope you all find time to reflect upon the life of our beloved Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson.  As the prophet whom I remember the most, I've always looked forward to hearing him speak each General Conference.  I know that the Lord approves of and is grateful for the inspiring life he lived.

Please have a safe and blessed week!

This was by far one of the best meals I've had!!  This is what true southern food looks like.
